The Final Goodbye
When I dropped Chiyomi off today, we had to get out and take more pictures ans say our final goodbyes to everyone. It was a VERY sad morning!
My drive home after saying goodbye felt very lonely and sad. I had a good long cry. Having Chiyomi in our home was more of a blessing than we ever thought possible. She was such a light and brought her sweet spirit, and it was everything we needed in our family. She helped us to be better people, and we will forever be grateful for her!!! Chiyomi was able to have several of the missionary lessons while she was here, and whenever asked what her favorite thing she did while she was in America she would tell people, "The first time I went to church the womens' class [Relief Society]". That is so awesome! We hope she is able to continue learning about the Gospel in Japan and eventually be baptized. We look forward to keeping our friendship alive and strong and hope that someday she will be able to come back and visit us! We love you, Chiyomi!
